Day 2 Korea

Sunday morning James and I went to an internet cafe across the street from his apartment because I woke up at 2:30am. Obviously my internal clock was still on Texas time. Fortunately, James likes to stay awake at odd hours of the day. We stayed there from 3am-7am. After that, we took a 30 minute, 85 cent bus ride to Bucheon to do some juggling at the college.

James and I juggled in this shady plaza at the college. We wound up playing these teenagers in a game of basketball, losing 10-7. Then they asked us to teach them to juggle, so we did. That was fun.

Lunch in Bucheon was called Bibimbap. The bowl is filled with a pile of rice, lots of veggies, a spicy sauce, and is topped with a fried egg. Add the soup, kimchi, fishcake, and pickled root, and you have yourself a very good meal for $3.50.

This is the entrance to the open market at Bucheon. It's called an open market, but there is a cover over the entire thing. Seems like it goes on for a mile. The most random stuff is sold there. One stall is selling socks, the next bed sheets, then animal parts, then candy or baked bread, and so on.

By the end of day two in Korea, I was one tired traveler. My body is not happy with the 14 hour time change.

While in the market at Bucheon, I bought a thin futon bed and a blanket. Forgot to buy a pillow, so the jacket is my pillow for now. This is a lot better than sleeping on the extremely hard floor like I did last night.
