Kids Club Bonding Pt. 1

I did some temporary work for a school called Kids Club. The manager, Tony, and I became friends and have stayed in contact. One night he called me to say that 3 new teachers had just arrived in Korea and that they were going out for dinner and drinks to welcome them. I arrived a half hour late and they had already begun eating and drinking. I think they had finished 2 bottles of soju and a bottle of beer. I sat down, more food was brought out, and alcohol was pushed in front of me by a guy named Yurij in record time.

Here we are, minus myself who is behind the camera: (clockwise from bottom left) Alana, Mike, Tony, Yurij.

After dinner, we found a restaurant to get some more alcohol at. Here you see Mike making an interesting face. Mike reminds me of Will Ferrel from Saturday Night Live.

This photo says a lot. Tony is giving a speech about how Kids Club teachers should have a strong relationship. He's really getting into it, as is evidenced by the intense eye contact and curled up hand gesture. Also note the double shot of tequila raised in the air.

Good times.

In Korea, there are relatively few places that you can go to and just order drinks. Usually, places have a 2-3 item food order minumum. I don't know why, but that's what is done. Here, we ordered a fruit plate, a quesadilla, and a bottle of tequila to go with our beers.

We left this bar and headed to a nice hotel/casino in Seoul for a dance party at around midnight. I'll talk about that in my next post.
