Rethinking Camera Options

This afternoon I ordered the Cannon PowerShot SD700 IS Digital Camera, then moments later, I cancelled the order. I'm going to keep looking for other options. I realized that I really want to take good quality video with my camera in addition to the photos I take. The PowerShot SD700 is topnotch when it comes to photos, but there is an 8 minute limit to videos and the size is a whopping 1GB for the entire 8 minutes.

Lucky for me I found a forum for asking questions like, "What cameras under $400, and what cameras $400-$600 have the best video capabilities?" The forum is at the Digital Camera Resource Page. I think a little patience and more research will go a long way in my long-term camera using happiness.
