One thing I have noticed about the westerners I've met in Korea is that they are all very interesting, strange, eccentric, crazy, and over-the-top people. I'll admit, I could put myself into that category even without the benefit of having another's perspective of myself.

I'm not sure why this is the case. Does Korea attract these types of individuals or do people's personalities just seem to be magnified when they are in a foreign culture? In any case, the mix of personalities here makes for a very interesting experience.
